PROJECT ENGINEER/COORDINATOR

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Project Engineer / Coordinator to join our team. This role involves coordinating and managing various aspects of heavy civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Estimating: Assist in the planning and estimating of civil projects, including roads, bridges, infrastructure, excavation, and grading. 

  • Coordination: Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and local government bodies to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets and resources to ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Reporting: Prepare detailed project reports, including work schedules, status updates, and documentation.

  • Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to local and national building and safety codes.

  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or delays promptly and implement solutions.

  • Meetings: Organize and attend project meetings, presenting updates to stakeholders.

  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.

  • Regulatory Issues: Assist in resolving any legal, environmental, or regulatory issues that may arise during the project.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred but not required

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in project coordination.

  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
