BACKGROUND
Ridgeline Excavation was founded in 2003 by Liv and Shilah Dalebout and with a commitment to hard work what began as a small excavation company steadily expanded into utilities, grading, and snow removal.
In 2020, Kirk Hogan acquired Ridgeline Excavation and continued building the company with an engineering-led and production-focused approach. Kirk is a graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and spent more than a decade with Kiewit, one of North America’s premier heavy civil contractors, where he helped deliver complex infrastructure projects valued at over $1.5 billion. That training and experience helped shape Ridgeline’s culture and operational philosophy - emphasizing planning, accountability, safety, quality, and efficient execution in the field.
Today, Ridgeline Excavation operates throughout Wyoming and Montana, with offices in Jackson, WY and Bozeman, MT. Our team specializes in underground utilities, excavation, grading, roadway construction, and site development in demanding mountain environments where precision, logistics, and field performance matter.
With one of the region’s largest heavy equipment and technology enabled fleets and a team of skilled operators, laborers, mechanics, and project professionals, Ridgeline has built a reputation for quality, reliability, and professionalism. While the company has grown significantly, our philosophy remains the same: deliver exceptional work, build strong relationships, and approach every project with pride - regardless of size.
OUR GOALS
Ridgeline Excavation is built on a team-first culture rooted in hard work, accountability, and pride in quality construction. We believe great work comes from great people working together with a shared commitment to excellence. Our goal is not to be the biggest contractor in the market, but to be the most respected - known for production, integrity, safety, and delivering exceptional results for our clients and communities.
